Capabilities and Experience

  • Licensed and trained personnel to assess and prepare designs for abatement of AHERA and RCRA regulated hazardous materials including asbestos, lead, and PCBs
  • Assessed Naval housing units for presence of hazardous materials prior to renovation; used XRF to minimize laboratory analysis
  • Decontaminated and performed verification sampling of mobile firing range with lead contaminants from small arms training and testing
  • Assessed 65 historical and dilapidated buildings at former Worcester State Hospital; prepared abatement design and provided Title II oversight services

Mobile Firing Range Decontamination and Disposition

  • Performed lead decontamination and verification sampling of three lane mobile firing range
  • Removed obvious scarred wall, floor, and ceiling material, collected lead shot from bullet catcher, removed rubber bullet stops
  • Under Level B PPE, pressure washed and vacuumed with HEPA filters all surfaces
  • Collected verification samples to confirm removal of lead to clean-up goal of 200 ug/sf
  • Recycled collected lead shot and disposed of lead contaminated material in RCRA disposal facility
